When does Onimusha: Way of the Sword release?

The current official date is September 4, 2026. Capcom moved it forward from September 25 in a July 2 update.

Which platforms are confirmed?

Capcom lists PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Is the Demo free?

Yes. A free public Demo is available on current console and PC storefronts.

Does Demo progress carry over?

No. Official Steam news says Demo progress cannot continue in the full game.

Is there a reward for playing the Demo?

Yes. Keep the Demo save data to qualify for the Kubi Akari charm in the full game; recheck platform-specific claim steps at launch.

How long is the Demo?

Capcom describes the Demo as about 30 minutes from the early story, ending with a Sasaki Ganryu encounter.

Is the game multiplayer?

Current official store information describes a single-player game. No co-op or competitive mode is confirmed.

Does the PC version require an SSD?

Yes. Steam lists 50 GB of storage and explicitly requires an SSD.

What is the current early-adopter bonus deadline?

Capcom lists September 26, 2026 at 8:59 AM JST, with regional time conversions in its Steam notice.

Are the sword appearances pay-to-win?

The official listings describe sword appearances as cosmetic and say they do not alter battle performance.
